THE BOOTH SCRAPBOOK
Scrapbook rules and removal
Draft for the owner's review. This page describes how the scrapbook works today. It is not legal advice.
Each published booth page has a small scrapbook of photo strips and short notes from visitors. Here's how it works.
Posting rules
- Share a strip from this booth that you have permission to publish.
- Respect the privacy and wishes of everyone shown, including children.
- No harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, explicit content, illegal material, spam or advertising.
- Don't include private contact information in the public message.
- The Booth Goose may decline or remove a post when needed to protect people or the community.
What's public and what stays private
Public, after approval only: the photo of your strip, your optional display name, your optional message and the month you visited. These can be seen, shared and indexed by search engines.
Private: your optional email, the time you ticked the permission boxes, and a one-way fingerprint of your connection that we use to limit spam. We never store your raw IP address with your post.
Before we save your photo, we make a fresh copy and strip out hidden details such as GPS location and camera information. Your original upload isn't kept.
How review works
Every submission starts out private. A person at The Booth Goose looks at it and either publishes it or declines it. We don't promise how long that takes. If a rights, safety or privacy question is unclear, the post stays private.
Asking for removal
You don't need an account. Anyone can ask for removal, whether you shared the strip, you're pictured in it, or you're otherwise affected. Use the "Report / request removal" link under the post, choose a reason, and leave a way to reach you only if you'd like a reply. Reports go to our private review queue.
When a post is removed, it stops showing on the booth page and the photo stops being served. Browsers and networks can keep a copy for a few minutes. We can't recall copies that other people or websites have already saved or indexed.
Not decided yet
We haven't set how long declined or removed posts and reports are kept before they're deleted. This page will be updated once that's decided.
